Default Am I going to regret this?

I have a single 3 inch exhaust with borla xr1... Picked up some obx shorties from a co worker... Thinking of getting rid of the cats... Will I regret the sound? To raspy?

With an XR1 and no cats, it will be loud, without a doubt.

It will be raspy with no cats and that Xr1 due to the y pipe and as he said LOUD, its up to you if you dont mind the rasp i dont really mind it on the camaro.

yeah i have the round case xr-1 and now its nice cause when im cruising it is pretty tame... but when i kick into her it barks pretty good... i would like to keep the tame cruising tone i have i just want the WOT to be a little more barky and raw... if ya know what i mean...

BTW i did not install the OBX shorties yet... i just figured that while i had it all apart that i would inquire about this... BTW i will be doing a front mount turbo next year... and i dont think i will run the cats with that... OBX shorties hook up to the stock y pipe right?!

They should bolt right up as they are designed to bolt up to the y pipe, with no cats it will scream at WOT for sure and it will be louder at crusing speeds. The shorties may or may not effect the sound i dont know i have never ran shorties but they may, if they do its a bonus and if anything it will be deeper or throatier.
