I went down to a chevy dealer and saw that new chevy ssr. it didn't have a window sticker on it, so i couldn't check the specs, but dont it have the new aluminum 5.3? are any other vehicles gettin the aluminum block now also?

 

Yes. The Trailblazer, Envoy, and Ranier all use the aluminum 5.3 if you opt for the V8. The Trailblazer and Envoy were the first; they started using it last year.
