Default alternative to speartech pulley relocator

alright. why not run the belt this way???? it would use a shorter belt than the speartech method which saves power in theory...also much easier and cost effective.

anyone have a reason to not run the pulley like this?

You won't get much wrap around the crank pulley that way. I'm not sure how much it takes to drive the rest of the accessories but I'd imagine that the ability of the crank pulley to turn the rest of them would be severely diminished.

Hit the nail on the head there. I would not do it.

that puts a nail in the coffin. looks like i need to order up a 6" long bolt and space it out for the pulley.
