Default All this talk about ticking..

Mine seems to have some slight ticking during start up, Worry about it or not?

From what i understand.. its just the lifters... something to do with the oil being cold and not getting up to the lifters yet or something.. not exactly sure.. but this is what im told... i dont have any ticking tho, by my truck is 4 yrs older

I have the faint tick on cold start as well. Im not even worried about it because I have never heard any of these LS style truck engines that didn't tick a little.

Yea seems to run fine, just those cold starts i get tick tick tick. Pretty faint but can be heard from standing by the truck.

its just the lifters getting oil up to them since its cold.. nothing to worry about

if it happens even after the engine is warmed up, might want to check the oil level, but we all already know that
