Wanna get a concensus of those who have had plug & play v those with probs adn what they might be? If those with issues are all similar maybe we can pool resources. I have about 1k on mine, mostly with intermittant misfire, low power off-the-line...tried everything I cud on my own and now going to work with a new installer to trouble shoot. R/

I think you will find that there will not be many replies to this thread. I take it from your lack of communication that you are still having problems? I have tried to help, but I do not get any feedback at all from you. I am 99.9% sure that you have an installer error issue, and nothing more than that. Did you ever get the mail order tune out and the correct tune in?

Had it back in since we spoke. The cell # I took down didn't work so I cudn't reach u. I've been back to have the install rechecked and still all looks good. If u can tell me exactly what to look for I'll go back again. Usually smells gas whenthe code throws. R/

 

I had an issue but like BlownChevy alluded to, it was an install issue. I'd take him up on his offer to help you troubleshoot.

 

2k 5.3 silverado, only problem i had was an install problem, high idle on start up, but the guys here pointed out a few things to check, throttle body gasket and pressure regulator o ring, so i pulled the intake tube and looked in the throttle body, bingo, i put the throttle body gasket on backwards, besides that it has been trouble free

 

Nevermind the above. I got you confused with someone else. Besides. It isn't the intake gaskets.
