Elevation correction for your time is .9705 * 16.4 = 15.915 to see level. Yes 2500' is really up there. Also remember a lot of these guys run slicks, do weight reduction, use just 1/4 tank of gas, remove spare tire.
If you are right off the street from what it appears, that aint bad times at all. I run right off the street with 1/2 tank of gas. I do nothing to my vehicle. I am at 2000ft elevation and my best so far is 15.677 elevation corrected to 15.3, with all the bolt ons except electric fans. I too ran in 88 degree weather which is not tame at all. Remember you loose about 5% horsepower for every ten degrees over 72 degrees outside. A lot of these guys best runs were at see level, and cold outside. Don't worry about it too much, you are running in high altitude, and hot weather. Then there are other factors, head winds, tail winds, crossbreazes, a cool breeze while in the pits is always good to cool the motor down, then there are guys playing with airpressure, playing with launching techniques, icing down their intakes, using smaller tires for gear multiplications, or running slicks.
I like to run off the street to see my real world performance, and Vegas Speedway has always been rated slow by everyone that I have ever talked to. You get no breeze sitting in those pits, you sit with your motor idleing for 10 minutes when they start staging your lane, and the temp at that track is always about 6 to 8 degrees warmer than the surrounding area. I guess from all the cars. But as soon as I leave the track the air temps outside drop about 7 degrees. Don't worry, run it sometime at another track if you can, and run it during the winter, and it will be a whole new beast! Consistant numbers are real important, are you running consistantly. My runs have always been within .2 seconds of each run, so I know my truck runs consistant 15.8s, and I hope this friday with the gear swap and traction adders that I can break into some 15.6 averages and get some 15.4 runs!

ya, tucson is kinda complained about to me by people in phoenix, since its so high up... so i will run this winter in phoenix and my times should improve dramatically.

im runnin 15.4's out at hrp and thats with a little wheel spin. as you can see i dont have much in mods but its all in how you set the truck up.
p.s. thats 15.4's with the tailgate and no spare.i even have a tool box in the back so i figure that would be the same as a spare, and the temp was about the same.

Dude, what the hell is up with that 14.99 after supercharging! You gotta check out your truck, there has to be something wrong with it. I supercharged my Tundra, and I dropped 1.6 seconds off of the quarter with just an extra 90hp gain!
