Thumbs up All the bolt ons, now what?

I need some help choosing my next mod. I do not want nitrous because of all the tuning. I want a daily driver street truck that will kick some ***. I have some tax money coming up so you guys can give me some pros and cons to help with my decision. Here are some things I am throwing around.

Used supercharger- $2000+
New 345hp 6.0- $2000+
Slightly used LS1- $1500+
Cam and tune for 5.3 $1000+

What does everybody think? I am leaning to the 6.0 but some of you guys have done all of these and know what is best. I have to keep it around $2000. Or I could just save save save for a new Radix. Thanks for all the help and advice.

Get a cam and tuning.... You will love it and save the other $1,000 for a Radix.

Tiberon would you recommend the cam that is in your sig? How much was it to install it because I don't want to mess with buying the special tool. Also would LS6 springs work?

Yup, I would recommend the cam I have. I love it. I don't think I lost any low end and it pulls very hard up on top. I would also recommend this one
Comp 216/220 525/532 114. This cam should also work awesome in your truck.
I got it installed in San Antonio at this speed shop called Lethal Performance for $350.
Since you live in Waco, you might want to contact these guys. https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...&highlight=cam
They might still honor that promotion that they had going on in the month of Nov.
And yes, ls6 springs will work fine.

If you are getting a supercharger in the future, dont get a cam that is designed for NA performance.

Get the 6.0...then save for a supercharger...or get that new turbo setup by cmotorsports...costs less than the Radix

Don't forget to set aside some money for an Eaton and a rebuilt tranny!

I think that a junkyard LQ9/4L65E (or even an LQ4/4L80E combo) would be your best bet...might be a little more than $2k, but would certainly start you in the right direction

i say low mileage ls1, and a 22ish cam, with your stall, it should make one stout puppy. low 13's should be no problem with traction.
