Default Alcohol Injection

What exactly does it do and can you use it with just plain bolt-ons? Is it like nitrous? Any pics of a kit installed? Does it hurt your engine overtime like nitrous does?

It does not make power, it is just a bandaid for people who have detonation, it essentially soaks up the heat in the combustion chamber, making it less efficient, but at the same time, stopping the detonation.

Alky injection is basically a liquid intercooler. A N/A engine could only benifit from it if you are trying to run alot of timing that would cause detonation or if you were running a high compression engine and did not want to run race fuel. generally it's only used by the F/I guys so they can run more timing or boost without detonation. It's not a bandaid. A bandaid would indicate your covering up a problem.Alky injection does what an intercooler does only in a different way.Sure, you can tune so you dont have detonation, but in most cases that means dropping your timing. The alky injection would let you run more timing safely which in return would mean more horsepower.
I would say on a N/A application you could spend your money on somthing else that would be alot more benificial.

also an interesting fact about it is that after being used for a while it is said that it kinda cleans the motor. cause the water turns to steam and kinda steam cleans it.

i also feel that it is NOT a band aid. it was originaly used on grand natties so they could runn realy high boost. and i plan to run on on top of an air to water intercooler. i feel it is mainly more benifitial for high boost aps but still works well for lower also. not only does it cool the iat but it also gives you more octane too.

if you realy want to get in depth about it go to www.carrollsupercharging.com and click on gasseous intercooling. they have a lot of info on it and a very very nice kit but it is damn expensive.
