Default air/fuel gauge?

How accurate are these gauges? Can they really help to adjust if lean or rich? I have a Predator programmer and it would be nice to know if I'm running lean or rich. Any help would be much appreciated. Thx.

The air/fuel gages are not accurate at indicating the air/fuel ratio, they are just good to indicate rich or lean condition & put on a pretty light show. If you want more accurate readings you have to get a wideband 02 air/fuel gage & they aren't cheap. I think parish8 is running a wideband one on his truck.

Yeah those gauges are a very, very general idea of being Rich-Stoich-Lean. Get a wideband if you really want this. I usually associate them with ricers...please don't take offense to this. They go gauge crazy for like A/F, Coolant temp, Volts, etc. hahaha

Widebands run about $500 also.
