Dumb Question --
Has anyone ran a conical or f-body type airfilter straight from the throttle body? Is it even possible?
If so, would it be a better place rather than the stock location?

Im also getting a goodmark cowl hood, and was wondering if I should get an open element type filter, or a closed one like the UPD lid.
Does the cowl induction even make much of a difference in the air flow under the hood?
thanks!

F-bodies run a different mass air sensor than our trucks it is possible to relocate it,but I don't think you would have space to line everything up without a bent intake tube similar to what we already have. The mass air sensor the trucks run is better than the F-body unit and similar to the Z06 Vette unit.I prefer the UPD intake to an open element filter.

Yes, you can do this but you'd need to install electric fans for clearance and extend the MAF wires. This guy did it on his '99...scroll down the page to "Phase 2".

i would imagine just sticking an air filter right in front the TB would suck up a lot of hot air coming off the engine. at least where the stock location is (wether using the UPD or K&N) you get cooler air coming from outside the truck
