Aftermarket intake manifold

I was wondering if anyone is using the FAST LSX intake or the Weiand intake manifold. If so how do they fit is it just a bolt on or is there some modification and are they worth the money.

they should bolt right on and as far as performance i have heard of some performance gains but i believe they were modest at best unless you are running a lot of boost through your SC

According to the book "How to build High Performance Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8s" the FAST manifold makes 7-10 HP on an LS1.

...and I think the 6.0L manifold made about 6hp. They did a nice write up here on LS1tech, do a search in the External Engine section.

If you go with the FAST Intake you'll need to run an F-Body waterpump to relocate the water outlet, and move the idler pulley....

I had the std ls1 truck intake/TB on my 427 with OK results (500rhp).....

I just put on a 90mm FAST Intake and LS2 TB.....

I should have some results soon...
