I dont quite understand how the aerochamber could "break in" or get louder. You guys all speak of it. It's a solid steel construction. There is no packing in the regular aero as there is in the max flow or any straight through design muffler. It's the steel chambers that quieten the sound, so there is no burning or wearing out to be done. I've been running them as true duals with no cats for 3 1/2 years and haven't noticed a change since day one. I'm definately not trying to put anyone down or change their hopes. It just doesnt seem logical to me.
I've loved my hookers since day one, and would never have anything else on my truck. After they were installed, I noticed a leak, the muffler shop told me that my mufflers that I purchased were broken inside, and I should have bought Flowmasters from them. I laughed, walked out of their shop and never returned.

I don't understand it either, but it did take some time to make a "noticeable" rumble. I bought it brand new and welded it on. I remember my Flowmaster got louder after a while too. I don't know why it was super quiet and then after 500 or so miles it got louder, but I'm very happy with it.
