The disadvantage is that it will sound like ****, but it can't sound much worse than it did before. Plus, you're from Oildale!

I'm running dual straight pipes that go right out in front of my rear passg tire. I think that they sound good.. The only part that kinda sucks is the dronw that you get when your just cruising down the hwy.. I have an 03 6.0l truck and it had duals stock into the muffler and single out.. So i just cut the muffler off and bent some tubing to bring it out the side..

I'm not putting anyone down here, but i was under the impression that the general consensus amongst performance guys was that needing backpressure was a total myth.

Think about it. if youre not worried about running LTs and ORY (way less backpressure than stock cats) then why would you every worry about a short pipe not giving you enough?

I have run open headers with the lts and it ran fine when the 02s werent reading too much fresh air and adding fuel to compensate.

Just my .02, but IMO its gonna sound shitty...CATS SUCK!

you bakersfield punks sure do bitch at each other alot dont you? as for the exhaust, i would run a muff with a straight through design. they say the best exhaust you can get is a full truck length 3" setup.
