Default acceleration off the line

I went to the drag strip with my truck for the second time lastnight and ran a 15.683@87.37. My truck is a 2002 GMC Sierra 5.3L with an intake and exhaust. I know I can do better than 15.6, but I have problems leaving the line because the truck seems to bog down. Any ideas? Once the truck gets going (usually around the 1/8 mile) it really flies.
I also have a very poor reaction time, somewhere around .9 something, but I am sure that that will come down after much practice. I just got new 285/55VR/18 Pirelli Scorpion tires, so I am pretty sure that traction is not a problem.

you can view the rest of my stats here: http://www.dragtruck.com/ENTRIES/PQX3ROBBM3YP.html

15.68 is awesome for an Z71 ext-cab.

How do you stage/launch the truck? Don't worry about reaction times if you are just practicing, it doesn't affect your ET. I've been known to cut some 2 or 3 second reaction times because I wanted to get the launch just right. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I just pull up to the lights to stage the truck, then go on the 2nd yellow from the bottom. I tried to launch it once by holding down the brake and giving it gas until it started to move, then launch on the light, but that did not seem to make that much of a difference.

I find it best for my truck to stall up around 1200 or so then floor it between the 2nd and 3rd yellow. I get low .6xx to high .5xx r/t and 2.15x to 1.19x 60' times depending if I spin a little or not.
