Default ? about s/c 5.3

I would like to push about 8psi through my non intercooled magna charger.
will the stock 5.3L handle it w/o a problem and what other mods should be taken into consideration.

what kind of power do those 4l60e transmitions hold up to?

As far as internal parts, 8PSI is nothing! Gen III internals are very strong and can withstand more than 8 PSI easily. You will want a tune to lower the timing a bit and you'll need to run 93 octane or higher. 4l60e however is another story and will eventually blow with your 5.3 pushin 8PSI.
Hope this helps,
Philip S.

If you want to up the boost on the magnacharger, You can use methanol to cool the air backdown.

the 60 should hold up for a while yet as long as you are not thrashing it everychance you get and another mod would be tuning i would recommend nelson performance and an air intake of some kind to keep it simple and then you could go headers exhaust and then a TC
