Very true. But, lets say its an LQ4 with a TR224, full exhaust, tune, eaton, intake, e-fans, good traction, blah blah.........it should run mid-high 12's.

Then your stock 4l60-e says

yeah Ive seen guys without completely built 6.0's run mid 10's in a SC SB............ I have also seen others run like mid 14's ??

Best example I could give for ya Big Mike is a guy here in AZ (flagstaff though) has a 99 SC SB with a LQ4 with Air Force 1 intake, gibson aftercat exhaust, LS1 cam, and a superchips program. I seen him run a 13.362.................. prolly could have done better cuz like abbo said should be around high 12's but again hard to say.

Even depends on air, track, engine, and tire temp teperature.

LQ4 is what would come in a silverado. LQ9's come in escalades, SS's, denali.

true man true.ok honestly i just really want to beat stock trans ams and was wondering what it would take to do so. The 6.0 will help but do i need alot more mods to beat one from a 40 roll? im going to make it fast in the long run but as for now im wanting to mainly get the 6.0 with a cam, exhaust, tune, headers, rocker arms, valves, lifters. will that do it?

Yeah it does not take a whole lot to get the 6.0's up there. You should be able to get close to that TA if not match it with just a few good mods.
