97 GMC 5.7 whipple supercharged
#1
I just put a used whipple supercharger on my truck. It doesnt have the aux. fuel injector system. Just a MAF box that is supposed to shut down the fuel return line. The truck is running lean. A little hard start without giving it a little gas. And pings at higher RPM. Can it be tuned to get more fuel at higher rpms? Or does it need a new fmu, injectors, MSD box? Does anyone know what I can do? A lot of the performance shops here in Phoenix say that they can remedy the problem ranging from $400-1000. Some say they have the cable but no software for that year of truck with the LS1 program. Some say they have the software but no cable. Some say they are just going to change the plugs and do other various things. Why is it so hard to get a little more fuel into the intake???? This is killing me I would pay anything to get it done right now, but noone seems like they want to work on it. Is it because it isnt a 2000 or newer. If anyone has info on anything in regards to this it woudl be greatly appreciated.
