Most people dont like the hot cam. You would be better off going with a TR220 or the 216/220 the hot cam has gotten ALOT of mixed reviews some bad some ok. 02 for your heavy truck I would recommend something in the 216 range. How big of a stall are you going to be running. I had a 222/224 in my Z71 and it was a dog down low but it hauled *** up top. I needed a bigger stall though to cure the problem down low.

I am getting a TB stall right after the holidays. Do you think that will be enough. There a guy on LS1Tech that has the hot cam and new orange springs for 250. They seem to have good luck with them in the cars, but I wasn't sure about the trucks. I remember seeing a few people on here that had a hot cam but I don't remember who it was.. Any help is greatly appreciated...

you have to remember we have alot heavier truck and yeah a tb stall and something in the 216 range will work well. I wouldnt mess with the hot cam there have been a few complaints on this forum about them.

I would think that a cam that is 'hot' for a 3500 lb F-Body with a manual tranny might be a little 'too hot' for a 5000 lb truck with an auto. If this is the 219/228, 525/525, 112 cam then I can certainly see why.

How about the TR 220 112lsa cam? would that work with my truck and a TB stall?
