Default 92 305/350 - setting the timing ? - How to ?

so how is it done? My co-worker is talking about a primary wire that goes to the PCM that needs to be unplugged or something while it's being set?

How do you start? Timing light, and set to 0* and TDC, then what ?

same thing works on a 90 model too

be sure to take mods into account, this didnt work well on my 454ss. i had to keep my timing at 12-14 with the advance unhooked (mods are in my sig) but for a stock engine 0 will work fine

You don't need to touch the timing to do a cap and rotor, but you can play around with it if you wanted to try and squeak a few more degrees out and see if you pick up any power

Yes, I'd try going up 2 degrees at a time until it pings then back it off...
