Default 90mm Throttlebody ???

I'm in the market for a cable actuated 90mm throttlebody. I've been looking around but cant decide between the different brands. Are any better than others? Are there any to stay away from. Anybody have an opinion on these or others. FAST, Nick Williams, Accufab? The Umi seems like a real nice piece too, and of course is the most expensive out of the group so far. When you get to this point what's another $100 anyway lol? Any advice or opinions are appreciated.

Alex

The early model FAST and some of the BlueMaxx had sticking issues. I was going to get a Holley due to it's design (very similar to UMI) and price untill the new FAST 92 came out. I will probablly get one of those now since the KB's have a 92mm J-tube.

I've seen alot of problems with the fast's leaking and blade sticking, I have a nick williams, it looks good and havnt had any problems. Paid about $380 for it from Thunder racing.

Thanks for the response. So far I think I'm goin with the Umi. It seems like a quality piece or could just be good marketing. Plus, Byunspeed has a good price on them right now.

How about an Edelbrock? They make one too. I believe their price is reasonable also. Check them out.

I'm curious to know at what horsepower level is a larger TB required? I ask because I'm wondering if it's even worth considering on an N/A 5.7L (5.3L bored over) that is meant for off-road and daily driving. What's stock...75mm? Would something stock but larger help out at all? Something maybe like an 85mm or whatever the cars have?
