Default 87 oct. in a Nelson 93 Tune!!!

Well I recently got back from a month in New York and I couldnt wait to drive my truck. I got home jumped in, let her warm up, then opened it up really good. At about 5,000 RPM I heard the engine knock really loud. I let off really quick and then called and asked if they had been putting 87 in my truck. They told me yes and that they had run about 2 tanks of it in there since I had been gone. I was really mad about that to say the least. Since the trucks fuel was already at 1/4 tank I dropped 3 bottles of octane boost (who knows if it helped) and filled the rest up with 93. I havent gotten it over 4 grand and am waiting until the next tank of gas so I can have 100% 93 in there. I am just hoping that nothing major is messed up with it now. The only good thing is that the person who was driving it, drives like a grandma anyway, so maybe they didnt hot-rod it too much.

You did the right thing, let off and increase the octane, if that's all that happened I bet it's fine, and good thing the other driver isn't a racer!

let me know how it turns out.

later,
