84'sierra+5.3&60e swap?

Exclamation 84'sierra+5.3&60e swap?

ok well my dad and I started this in july, puttin a 5.3l + 60e out of a 05 silverado with the same ecm. But we used a HD wiring harness and fuse box, he wants it to be oem so got all the sensors pluged in...ok well the motorNtranny are in everything is ready, the motor cranks n tries to turn on but it doesn't stay on any Ideas in wat we are missing to make turn on, any ideas wats going on, I'm post a video soon + pics

we also put a 05 steering wheel on,we hotwire it to to crank it since we don't have the key could ithat b an issue, I know autozone sells d ing switch with key,

first order of business when dealing with this type of swap is to have some type of diag/tuning software..... some of those newer need key chip to run

Sounds like you need to have the VATS disabled by a tuner.

that's what I'm thinking but my 03' silverado doesn't have a chip on d key, someone with 05' N newer could input?....


^^^ VATS could also be an isssue, could the dealer remove it or do I need to talk to wheatley.

I have an 06 and there is nothing special about the key. Probably like someone said a VATS relearn.
