And your point is? There's more availible I just don't need duplicates or can't afford everything. There's not one component of the 8.1 that isn't replaceable with an aftermarket upgrade, well maybe the water pump. I'm saying there is an aftermarket, against the argument that there isn't and that it's not affordable. Now you're changing it to "is nothing compared to that of a LS series". To which I say "So what?" Why do guys who only think in LS feel the need to down other stuff. Here's a news flash, I own a LS1 Firehawk and gasp, have installed aftermarket mods on it myself. So you're not telling me anything. Other engines I own or have owned and mod that perhaps you feel the need to compare to the LS series:
Mazda Rotary
Ford supercharged EFI and Holley 4V 3.8
Yamaha/Ford 3.0 SHO
Opal 2.0
SBC
Ford 5.0
Pontiac V8
BB Mopar
Honda 750cc V4
Brigs And Stratton 5 Horse
Still 2-Stroke 70cc

I could go on but I'll still forget some. The point is some people pick what they think is the best, buy it, group together, then ridicule everything else. Then some understand that variety is the spice of life and enjoy fruit off of many trees. It's just internal combustion engines, no harm done.

just that the marker for those 8.1s isnt there. yes companys will make a part here and there but if that motor was really worth the effort itwould be in more swaps. lets compare it to the old days. alot of ppl yanked sbcs for bbcs. you dont see that going on today at all. yes you can shoehorn any motor into any chassis but why? you can have a LS motor produce the same or alot higher numbers without much shoehorning.

you like your pigblock cool, i like my LS based motor.
