I'm looking around $1200, I know I can get more power out of my L33 but it's at about 94K and seems to be losing oil from somewhere I haven't exactly located it yet. By a power adder do you mean a handheld programmer? I already use one of those.

My only goals really were to make hauling a skidsteer a little easier on my truck as well as having some fun nights cruising the avenues looking for Honda's to eat up.

As a side note I current have a 6 inch suspension lift and 35 inch tires going on it within the next week so I'd like to be able to haul that around easier.

Alright this clears things up a little better for me thank you. So I got in touch with a few junk yards around me and none of them had an LQ9 readily available. They only had LQ4s and the best price I could get for one of those was $800. I did not ask about the L92 because I was waiting to come home to check for your answer about the L92, but now I think I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what I can find.

So to be clear I need the complete engine

An x link? Not sure what that is or how much it costs

A Ligenfelter signal converter: Lingenfelter TRG-002 58x-24x Crank Sensor Trigger Conversion Module - Lingenfelter Performance

and lastly find a garage that can give me a decent tune?
-or could I use my power programmer to do it myself?

Sorry for all of the questions, I've never done one of these swaps, and my father has only done them from the 70's up until the late 80's so he doesn't exactly know all of the newer electrical components needed.

Thanks again!

Alright thanks I'll look into that. I'd really Like to make as much power as possible without upgrading or swapping the trans. I figure the l92 put out over 400 from the factory so that's what I was looking at I'd like to get this done before summer starts and the LQ9 is pretty hard to come by. Could I get that kind of power out of an LQ4 with ease?

Get a LQ4 put a cam, long tubes, CAI, tune. Easy 350-60rwhp 370-80rwtq. on stockish wheels. Use the stock 4l60e till it blows. Then get the 4L60e heavy duty rebuilt or 4L80e.With a good transmission tune and keeping your foot out of it your stock 4L60e will last a while.

How much are 6.2L I feel like they would be much more $$$$ than $800 LQ4 plus the wire/hook up hassle......yuck/NIGHTMARE if you don't know the details.

35" tires are going to KILLLLLL your true RWHP numbers

Factory 6.2L vs mild built LQ4. 6.2L loses every time

Bottom line I'm just looking for a nice easy swap that is going to last me a while, is easy to find, and is going to put out a good amount of power.

Get a lq4 or lq9 the difference is only 20 horse and about 15 pound of torque get a good small cam that will make torque ,long tube header , tbss intake, ls7 throttle body with a x-link, and a good stall around 3000 to3200 stall and should have fun with a decent setup tranny will need work eventually but til then have fun
