Default 6.0L with tr224

I have a lifted truck and use it off road in the mud and on some trails and was wondering how a truck with 36s and 4.56s would do with a 6.0L 80e combo and a tr224 on a 112lsa with bolt on. would it have any power down low? and how would it be cruising around town.

not a good idea for low down power on the 6.0 that cam wont come on until after 2k rpm, look on cam manufacturers websites. Go with a cam designed for towing.

You are going to want to keep the duration low so you don't lose any lowend, I have a 216/220 and I don't think I would go any bigger without a stall. I would look at the Vinci 210/218, Marc W has it in his truck and loves the lowend.

Look into the comp "old man" cam. Its all about low end grunt with a strong mid and high.

Are you going to put a converter in it? I have the 224 in mine and with a stock stall for now. It is fine cruising around town and the lowend loss isnt that bad and im on 35's with 4.10's. For offroad, it will be fine. had my truck in the dunes not to long ago and the thing ripped up the hills so in the mud you will be fine. Most of the time on the trails your going to be in low range, so lowend wont be a problem anyways.

I'd perfer not to put a converter in it right now. but i just want something that has good power down low and will make my truck sound like slowprocces truck if possible. another question how would the 224 perform down low in a 402 or 408?
