6.0L intake and exhaust ?'s
#1
Ok im doing the swap from the 4.3L reg cab and swapping in a 6.0L LQ4 out of a 2500 HD. im getting pacesetter longtube headers and if i wanted to go with true duals would it be fine to get a universal X-pipe and get a buddy to weld on all the pipes? i cant just order a x pipe because it will be shown for the extended cab so it wont fit right? so is the universal a good way to go?............. also, im going to get an aftermarket intake will it fit in my 4.3L engine bay? i just want to make sure that the filter will fit in the same spot as it does now with the 4.3L in or will i have to custom fabricate something up. thanks for the help.

it's going to be hell putting the 6.0 in place of the 4.3......you have to remount the engine mounts and a whole bunch of other small tedious time consuming things......there is another guy on here trying to do the same thing.....it's better just go out and buy a truck with a 4.8 and drop the 6.0 in.....in fact.....i have a 2003 gmc with a 4.8 and a 6.0 w/4L80E tranny......for the right price......

If oyu are getting cutom exhaust then just order and x-pipe to whatever size pipe you are using and run it how oyu need to. If this is a nbs silverado then yes the 6L intake will fit. What kind of truck is going in and what year?
