Default 6.0L/4x4s with Pacesetters

I tried searching for others who have installed Pacesetter long tubes on their 6.0L 4x4 trucks, but the search comes up with a butt load of 5.3L installs. No offense 5.3L guys. The main concern I have is that my exhaust is a "true dual" setup, routed through the passenger side though. It still has the stock manifolds with OE cats and silencers bolted up to the Gisbon exhaust. The Y-pipe Pacesetter shows is an actual Y-Pipe, two into one. That will not work with my exhaust. I am trying to figure out if the 6.0L had a different exhaust setup vs the 5.3L/4.8L ... or if mine is custom? So, what are the 6.0L 4x4 guys doing? Any 6.0L 4x4 guys have pics? I plan to install them this weekend, weather permitting.

My 6.0 has true duals also. I was wondering the same thing about the pacesetter y-pipe.

You could always have a flange or slip joint welded on.

the Pacesetter y-pipe is only available for the single outlet. 6.0 trucks from the factory have a dual in, single out muffler. You'll have to do a custom y-pipe most likely because of the 4L80e tranny. You can PM the user: BradS he has an 01 1500HD with Pacesetters and a custom y-pipe and he should be able to post up some detailed pics of his installed.

I can't vouch for the Pacesetter ones, but the OBX kit is a true dual. They both run down the passenger side, and they fit fine on my 4x4.

Ah good. I was beginning to think the previous owner did a one-off job. Well looks like I will be fabircating my own Y-Pipe. I am going to try and reuse the stock piping, possibly relocated back a tad. I measured it the other night and it spec'ed out at 3". I will PM BradS and see if he can provide me with some images of his Y-Pipe. Thanks for the help guys, and I will try and take pictures of my install and after I complete it.

I wonder if I can squeeze in a quick dyno session somewhere, prior to the install?

Found BradS's post, he even included pics and video ... how nice.

Any of the HD model trucks should have dual cats and duals all the way to the muffler and then they exit as duals they Y to a 3.5 inch single tail pipe. Makes putting aftermarket true duals very easy. I have done it on two different 8.1s
