Well since I started this thread I have since decided to go the 408 route, and if I could find some off the shelf pistons to work with the .030" oversize and the 4.1" stroke I would go 418.

I didn't realize that the cranks where the same price until I was checking around some today. But it looks like I'll be staying with the 408.

FWIW, you can just have someone build an LS2 Converter for you and that would take care of the crankshaft issue. I learned that from experience, a very expensive experience....
