Did you use factory heads? That painted intake and motor looks great.

Man this thing runs great, tons of torque. It sounds meaner when you rev it up too.

I took the heads off, and blended the valve seats in with the ports.

hey, what size bolts did you use to secure the chain? where did you mount the chain exactly? have any pics?

Sounds like a pretty cool swap! Is there more usable power to be gained by this swap over an LS1, LS6? Also, what kind of intake manifold is that? Just a stock coated one, or what?

Motor lifting

To lift the front I used a braket that came with the 6.0, it looks an egr flange. For the back I took the factory braket off the back of the head, and drilled a hole in it for a hook.

I would say yes, the 6.0 will make more torque, and thats what you need to move a heavy truck. You can get a 6.0 cheaper then an LS1 too.

The intake is just a stock manifold that I painted.
