Talking 6.0 up and running strong

I took her out for a drive to do some logging, man this has power. I haven't opened it up yet, I want to go easy on it till its broken in. I put the factory tune back in with TM at 50%, and I now know what TM feels like, its like I let off the gas on the shift.

Now I have never driven a vehicle with a high stall before, but man this trailblazer stall is loose. It is a lot looser then I thought it would be. I wouldn't want it any looser.

I am very happy with the power, it really hauls the mail. I can see tire wear being a issue.

Cool, that's the setup (aside from the cam) that should have come from the factory in the Z71's.

So...the question is: what does that converter flash stall to?

I think they should come with 6.0 and cam

Whats the best way to measure flash stall. I tried to brake stall it to see what rpm it would go up to, but the tires started turning, and I lost interest in the tach. What I can say is, driving in OD 1600rpm locked, a blip of the throttle, unlocked 2600 rpm.

You could put it in 4Hi, go WOT from a dead stop...that will tell you also. But it unlocking on the freeway sounds right.

They should come with that setup no doubt, I just don't think they could get away with that cam also.

6.0's rule!! to get your stall speed put it in 4hi and floor it. rpms will rise quickly then sit at one spot for a sec or so, then rise again, where they pause at is your stall speed.

Well I did a 4-hi launch this morning, and it stalled up to 2600rpm. I did a G-tech on the run it was 13.942 at 97.76mph 2.086 60FT. I know it will do alot better then that, I didn't get a good launch, and I didn't put my foot in it all the way. I have the shift points set at 5800 1-2 and 5600 2-3, and it feels like its shifting at 4000, because it gets there so quick.

How much timing is everybody running at WOT. I am seeing only 22-24. I was running 30-31 in the 5.3. I want to tune for 89 octane.

Sweet! i will have a near identical setup. except my cam i a hair bigger (216-220) and my stall is a (3000) on top of that, im gonna have the whipple with 10 psi of intercooled boost. It would be the shiznit if i could skip the 13's and hit 12's my best time so far is only a 14.4 at the track (no stall or cam and only 6psi).

We need a pic!
