Retune the truck. Just curious, are you going to mod this engine before putting it in? And what year is it? A 99-00 won't fit with your tranny.

What do you do to the PCM?

Can do you just program it?

Or, do you have to get the 6.0's computer too?

I was thinking of doing the same.

Thanks.

You willl have to get a tunning program of some sort. LS1edit would be fine. A 6.0 pcm with a hypertech or another hand held would do the trick to. But you would have to know the year model of the PCM.

if your doing heads and cam you will probably want to do some good tuning via ls1edit or pay for a dyno tune.

to get it to run after droping it in you may have to up the idle a little, thats about it but to get max power you will need a custom tune.

it is just a drop in set up. pull the old and put in the new.

One option you have until you get edit or access to a Dyno is to get a custom file for your Predator. It wont be dead on like a dyno tune, but they can probaly get it close enough for the time being.

How about, does the pcm control things such as auto door locks, etc -All the fancy features on the loaded vehicles like the escalade,ss and denali equiped with the lq9? or is that controlled by the Bcm? I'm pretty sure convience features are all on the bcm module.

If I ever were to swap in a 02 lq9 in my base model 99 truck wouldn't the computer throw a code when it sensed things were missing, a/c, etc.
