Default 6.0 stock manifolds

Are the 6.0 stock exhaust manifolds the same as the 4.8/5.3? I'm looking at buying ssw's manifold back exhaust system(with cats and xpipe) and wasn't sure if my 6.0 manifolds are different.

I'd asume this would get me the best flowing exhaust w/o headers and keep the truck quieter since it's a DD.

Actually one side is the same and the other side is different. I believe the collector on the pass side is bigger and the one on the drivers side is the same. I have a set here, I should go measure and confirm. I do know at least one of them is larger though.

Interesting. I saw no difference.

On my setup I'm using the 4.8L manifold on the pass. side and the 6.0L manifold on the driver's side. I would have used the 4.8L manifold on the driver's side as well but the flange got messed up when we removed the bolts from the flange (1 bolt refused to come off with the impact so it had to be grinded off).

On one side of the engine only, the 6L truck manifold has a larger collector. I have both sets here off my 4.8L and my 6L. I'll try to go get some measurements tonight when I go outside.

Are those the ones that have been sitting out in your front yard for weeks?

When i did my swap from the 5.3 to the 6.0 i got the gaskets for the truck as it came with the 5.3 and bolted it right up to the factory pipes with no problems. That was on my 2003 both motors were the same year. Less other years they changed not sure.

I remember hearing that something was different between the 2, and it was only on 1 side.
