Got a new GM crate LQ9 6.0 arriving next week for my 2002. I want to change the cam before installing it. Trouble is I can't figure out what size cam to pick. Is anyone here running a 6.0 that pulls good to 6000 or better without power adders? Just did a 6.0 with 216/220 .525/.532 114LSA and 112intCL and was not happy with rpm range. It only pulled good to 5600-5700. I'm thinking it will take duration something like 224/224 to do what I want with 114LSA. Any opinions?

Are you going to upgrade injectors also?
How did the tuning work out on your other truck with the 6l.

 

Going to wait on the injectors. I have WidebandO2 so I can monitor the stock injectors and see if they are up to the job. Went with a Wester's pcm on the 99. Tuning is ok but still have a small issue on idling but believe the problem is in the maf. Haven't done much with it, believe I broke a valve spring at 80 miles (Comp springs). Gonna wait for new cam decision before fixing it.
