I'd personally recommending finding some buddies or some people just running a little gig out of their garage or shop. This is what I did and I was able to bargain the price ($700) and I helped out and watched everything they did. I learned a lot and it's nice being able to make sure no funny business is going on. I posted in the regional forums that I needed help with a swap on ls1tech and I got a PM.

 

yeah i figure that ive been calling around to find places but to much money...the only thing that i have to do is get a tune.

 

+1 on finding a buddy, obviously they'll want some money to help but its gonna be probly 95% cheaper than a shop.

if u just need a tune find a good dyno place and go there. Other than that I'd say mail order is ur option

 

ok so has anyone modified a universal intercooler if so can you pm pics to me..

 

See if you can find a place with good space, light, a cherry picker etc.. A lift would be nice ..i should be able to come help you on a saturday or sunday. I was working at a dealership when i did my swap (well, twice actually...popped the motor first time around...bent crank) so it was nice to have the whole shop.
