Default 6.0 guys help!!!

so im gettin started on my engine swap i found a 6.0 out of a 2005 ss silverado and im dropping it in my 2006 gmc sierra it had a 4.8 will i need the whole wiring harness to replace or do i just change out the computer.

okay so then i dont need the wiring harness off the 6.0 just keep the 4.8 and get a tune with the 6.0 computer....the shop told me that they need to buy a new wiring harness and i thought it didnt matter just the computer would matter

you can use your wiring harness and computer, you'll just need it tuned for the 6.0

For emissions in CA does it matter you are putting an older engine into your truck?
