You're going to spend $4-500 on a new cam setup for 10-15hp, why not spend the extra $100 for a nitrous system and spray 100-200 or more?

I agree that it's time for some headwork, 2* more of duration won't net enough gains IMO. How about a set of WCCH StageII 317's and the afore mentioned 228 cam?

get you a tbss intake and find a used 90m tb on the net and then look for the cam. IMHO. I ran back to back 8.2x's with a stock cam ,stock heads and a 4l80e w/ 3600 P.I multi disc and 3.42's.

Can't run tbss intake without upgrading to ls3 heads. The intake ports don't match.

what kind of difference would I see with the tbss intake and tb. How much could I expect out of the 3800 stall with 4.10's and slicks shifting at 6700 rpms. when it ran 8.0s
at 85mph with a 1.84 60ft it was on the 3000 stall and 3.42's with m/t dr's shifting at 6000rpms. I might try turning this cam to 6700rpms and try the tbss intake. Do you think I could break mid to high 7's? I dont care much for 1/4 mile times cause there are no close tracks only 1/8

That should get you into the high 7's for sure. Mid 7's would be ~11.8 sec 1/4 mile which might be a lot to ask with no head work. looks like you are mid 12's right now. Takes a lot more to pick up couple tenths in the 1/8 mile than 1/4.

I have only ran the 1/4 three times and I ran 12.6 all three times I dont remember the mph but the 60's were all 1.8x. I fugured the 3800 stall and 4.10s with slicks and I can try to turn the 224 a little higher rpm I might can get some high 1.6x 60's. I have a spare set of 317's milled 30 thousanths how much would the help

Maybe even a fast intake with a 90mm or so tb. A cam can only do so much. All the engine parts must work together to make a strong engine.
