Question 500rwhp with Radix supporting gear considerations....

My goal is 500rwhp
according to my 1/4 mph and weight I am currently making somewhere in the neighborhood of 390rwhp - 410rwhp.

after this next trackday the rest of my mods are going in...

what things should I consider upgrading to support 500rwhp?

I have a Radix and a CatBack Exhaust, mostly stock Radix Tune.

A lower restriction air intake helps a lot and you can ice the intercooler.I put 2 antifreeze drain valves in the intercooler lines drained the heated water and refilled with ice water between runs.A stall and sticky tires make a huge difference to.

Thanks whitt, appreciate the advice, I try and listen to those that have accomplished what I aim to achieve.
that said, I do plan on an open air filter style setup, I just added a second heat exchanger(not hooked up yet), working on the sticky tires, but about the stall, what would you recommend knowing a cam with 220/224 581/581 on a 115 specs?

I'd really like a 90mm TB setup to go with the next round of mods.
Since the bottom end is staying stock, I may add rod bolts and some forged pistons, but that may be out of my $$ range right now.

Are you still going with the StainlessWorks headers? What sized combustion chamber do your new heads have?

Does your 2005 3/4 truck have the returnless fuel system like the 1/2 ton trucks? If your regulator is on the rail, you might be able to squeek out 500rwhp on those injectors, but if its a returnless system, larger fuel injectors are a must. Probably need either a 2nd boost referenced pump or a voltage booster as well.

I'd get a set of off-road pipes made to replace your stock cat pipes with as well. Run the off-road pipes as needed with the ability to easily get back to CARB compliant with unaltered stock stuff.

thanks, lots of good stuff and you hit on some things I was hoping to talk about.
Yes, going with the stainless works headers 1 3/4 primaries, 3" collectors, and full dual 3" exhaust system, undecided on an X-pipe though. I will probably use my existing Magnaflow CatBack.
Yes I have the returnless fuel system, I was hoping a voltage booster would be enough, if not just barely.
Combustion chambers are 74.5cc so my compression ratio will be around 9.1-1. Since a new shortblock is out of the question this even lower compression than standard might be safer for me with the stock pistons.
If I needed injectors, the SVO's look pretty cool, although only slightly higher flowing, however I don't really see my overall combo reliably making much more power.
that said, a switch to forged pistons and a slightly less dished piston (i.e. -2cc) is appealing.
and I am holding on too all my stock exhaust pcs so in 4 yrs the CARB thugs won't treat me to badly

A 42lb injector would be a lot more flowing. Ford rates on a 3 bar pressure map. On out motors (4 bar) that 42lber would be around the 46lb/hr mark. That's pretty good. BTW, why haven't you installed the heads yet?

I'd go with a 3000 stall to get that bad boy on the cam right out of the hole.Any more and it will not be a useful street driven truck, especially a the weight you are running.
