Default 5.7 to 5.3/6.0 conversion

I just bought a 1996 suburban and I'm now looking to add a little more power to it and thinking of doing a swap to the 5.3 or 6.0 liter engine. My question is how much work goes into doing the conversion?

Thanks in advance
