Default 5.3l head

I was given a set of 5.3l heads for free,will these work on my 4.8l 2001 silverado 2wd.If i get them ported and polished and mabey some springs rockers.Let me know peeps.Cam too i know for sure.

It is the exact same head. Porting will help some, but nothing drastic on that little engine. Milling the heads a little will help more than anything to get the compression up a little. I've got a cam you need. Actually got more than that and have proven dyno #'s on the package.
