Default 5.3L to 6.0L Swap?

Hey everyone , as of right now I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 that has the 5.3 vortec in it. My transmission recently went out on me and so I thought I could possibly take the 6.0L vortec and trans out of a 2001 Yukon Denali. The engine has about 200K miles but runs perfectly fine and has been well-maintained. The trans is a rebuilt trans with less than 20K miles on it. As for my Silverado, I’m right around 164K all-original miles on the engine and trans. So, could this be done? Thanks for your opinions and have a good day!

yes it can be done. its a direct swap, depending on your trans. 80e? or 60e? DBC and and DBW are two other things that may be looked at. Super simple to change tho. Tune would help you as well. As of that, its a direct bold in. I may be over looking something. But it can be done and has been done X139398458585845985985895 times. Good luck. Also since your new, some advice for you. USE THE SEARCH button. lol Some will chew your *** to shreds. Especially on simple questions like this.

Good luck man!
