Default To swap the cam or not swap the cam?

Well since I am doing the heads and now all this talk about cams, I am thinking of going bigger. Just kicking it around now, going to talk to Allen about it and see what he thinks.
I have some room to go bigger with lift and duration, just don't want to kill the low end. I might even end up with a stall. One thing leads to the next, now that the mod bug is back.

I would throw a the 224 that allen tuned and all the bs that is goign on about. Then throw a 2500ish stall in there and haul ***. You could still tow with it and it wouldnt kill the gas mileage too much. Go with a Fuddle converter he has the best warranty and the strangest vcovnerter on the market IMO. Good price too.

yeah I was thinking the same on the cam. I don't tow anything at all,How much was your converter from Fuddle? I was thinking 10.5 3 disk PI. Might as well bump up the c/r while the heads are off, and I was only going to swap heads LOL

500 from Fuddle then if you dont tow then jump up to a 3000 I still towed with the 3000 too and it didnt kill my gas mileage.

If I could keep my foot out of it that is.

The 3000 IMO was very streetable and drove fine. My truck is heavier than yours too and I didnt have a problem with it so I think you will be just fine with it.

I would like to try another cam with a different lobe and higher lift. Then I can go back to the stock rocker and get rid of the Harland Sharps. Maybe a Futral or a Thunder.

They are 1.8s and they are noisy. I think the low lift cam leaves some on the table cause of the lobe design. I had to get this cam cause I already had the rockers,, but its time for change and they limit my choices of cams.
