I made 413/447 on my 5.3 @ 9psi. Everything else was stock except for the cat-back and 4.10 gears. This was with the 24's on. I think you will be very close to 500 on the TQ. The HP, I would guess 470ish. When ya gonna put it all together and see who was right?

I thought I'd be "satisfied" with just the Radix and I was for about 1 hour and then I wished I'd have done the cam/heads while it was torn down somewhat. Will I be satisfied w/the hot 5.3? Jeeez I hope so but..... It's kind of like me and alcohol/pot....... never did reach a point where I didn't want more.

That's encouraging! With heads/cam/meth I should make quite a bit more than 413/447. What pulley were you using?

I might be able to get the $$ together in Feb. Planning to get some body work done in Feb and maybe put pearl over the white while it's in the shop and I"d like to do the engine work while the bed is off the truck for body work. If not in Feb then in the spring.. May? I'll have to sell a couple of collector pool cues to finance the project.

Ads for meth systems claim as much as 90 hp gains. Is that realistic?

I"m thinking that a smaller pulley, cam, heads and meth might get me 100 hp gains at the wheels. Realistic?

i'd be guessing around 470-500rwhp, but keep in mind that you're going to have to do alot of tuning in the IAT tables because the radix turning that many rpm is going to get hot and quick. you'll find that even with icing it at the track you're going to be running through the traps at around 160º IAT or higher.

The meth wouldn't do that much to cool the intake charge I gather. Sounds like I'd be doing damage to the Radix by spinning it too fast and would be better off to lose some power to improved longevity and leave the pulley at 3" or even 3.25.

With the addition of meth (60/40 water/meth) I dropped about 50-60* off my IAT's at the end of a 1/4 mile run. I have the 3" pulley and my IAT's are below 100 at the end of a pass.
