Default 5.3 radix exhaust

Anyone in here who has a 5.3 liter with a radix and a corsa exhaust. i am trying to figure out what exhaust system will go on my new truck. I plan on taking the cats off and running it out infront of the rear wheel. Sound clips would be very helpful. thanx

When you take the cats off the sound quality is vastly improved with a good custom wye-pipe.I run ASM headers into mandril bent 2 1/2" head pipes and a Flowmaster venturi wye. When I first installed the headers using a length of pipe in place of the cats and using the factory wye-pipe the noise level I had using a seventy series Flowmaster catback was enough that I had to install a 3" Dynomax bullet muffler as a resonator to make the noise bearable. After installing the custom w-pipe I removed the 3" bullit and the system is quieter that it was origially with a much more pleasant tone.

Well the ASM are already their I just need the cats gone and the sims. Just dont want to take those things off and it sound like butt. I like it loud but dont want a interior noise where I cant talk. I use to have a 97 with tru duals and 1 chambers dumbed with 6 inch chrome tips. loud but only at full throttle.

The Corsa system would be a very good way to go. This is the most popular truck brand that we carry closely followed by B&B TriFlo and then Magnaflow. Any of these systems will become quite a bit louder if you run without cats.

I had my wye-pipe built using a mandril bent exhaust kit and a Flowmaster wye from Summit.Cheap, but it helps to have a frend with a muffler shop. The Corsa exhaust is probably great looking but they aren't cheap.

I had a custom exhaust all the way through. TOG headers, gutted cats, X-pipe into a pair of Melo-Tone mufflers dumped in front of the rear axle. I always got complements on it, but I thought it was to quiet.

thanx for all of the responses. I will go with the corsa exhaust and modify it to come out infront of the rear wheels. My cats will be gone and the long tubes should work wonderful. thanx again.
