Exclamation 5.3 questions

i have a 2002 Tahoe that I did a body swap with a 05 Denali. I used everything from 02 Tahoe minus the dash wiring. I am trying to keep all the Denali accessories. So my question is could I use the Denali engine computer and trans harness on my 5.3. And also still use my throttle cable instead of the electronic one? I know it'd be easier to use a 6.0 I just don't have the funds for it at the moment.

You'll have to tune for it and hope your computer can control the cable TB. The other side of it is tuning the 6.0 computer to run the 5.3.

Put it this way, you can not just plug that 6.0 DBW computer in and have it run a cable throttle body without an issue.

Either buy the DBW parts required to run that computer or hope that you can tune the DBW computer to control the DBC setup if it has the IAC drivers in it.

From what I'm getting my best way to do this is by using the DBW and getting another set of the electronic dbw pedals and throltle body.

In order to use the 2005 interior stuff you will want to use a newer PCM. 03-07 and If you use one from a Van It will be DBC compatible.

You can't just plug in a 2005 interior to a 2002 engine PCM. It won't communicate with certain things like the cluster. The plug for the under hood Fuse Box is also different.
