Default 5.3 out, 6.0 in

5.3 to 6.0 LQ4 with 60k
Well I finally will have some time to do my engine swap!!!
And my tranny will also be rebuilt!

From your experince what should I do - Pull the tranny out then the engine or pull both of them together?

Here is my list of upgrade to the engine-
-ARP Rod Bolts
-222/224.566.568 112LSA cam
-New 918's
-LS6 ported Oil Pump
-LS2 Timing chain set
-Hardened pushrods
-Thorley Tri-Y Headers
-I will also be adding the 42# injectors that, for future use!
What else should I do?

you should do it soon so it can be ready when the track opens. Should put down some good power too. Who's doing the tune?

I am going to try to tune it, but I need to sell my Kent tool kit to buy my wideband in order to tune.

Hoping to start puling everything out tomorrow. I will then send the tranny to get rebuilt and start to assemble the 6.0 with the new parts and swap everything else over to it. But I just now found out I have some family coming into town, so either I will have extra help (lol) or I will have to wait.

First, I removed the motor. Then, I moved the tranny jack/tranny foward and slid the yoke out from the driveshaft. I held the driveshaft up with a scrap piece of 2x4. Didn't unbolt the driveshaft or carrier bearing(extended cabs only). Then, I took the pass. side wheel off and jacked the truck up as far as it would go. Rolled the tranny foward to where the frame goes up and rolled it sideways out from under the truck. It barely cleared the frame by less than 1/2", But it worked great. Oh yeah, buy an engine leveler. I couldn't have got the motor out/in without one. Using it to tilt the motor certain ways gave about 1" clearance between the crank pulley and the radiator. If you have any questions, pm me, I'd be glad to help.
