Default 5.3 & Ls1 Intake

Will a Ls1 Intake fit and work on a 5.3 liter... I know that the 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 are all Ls1 based motors.

I've heard it will, you just have to change all of your accessory mounts. I was debating on doing this myself.

I know I'm gonna recieve a half-dozen PM for responding to this (YES...I WILL TAKE pictures guys....someday...but it's gonna wait until the heads/cam swap so I can do the WHOLE write-up at once), but the LS1 intake swap is REALLY easy......you can use all of the stock truck accessories, ALL you need to do is modify the water-pump neck where it sticks up off of the water-pump (cut it down to 3/4" tall) and buy the idler-pulley adapter form Speartech ($70), the stock injectors and rails will work (use spacers....I figured it out.....so can you) and so will the stock crossover tube (looks dumb...but it works, if the asthetics offend you custom bend one)

Doesn't the truck intake flow better than the ls1 intake? I thought that CHP proved that. If the truck intake does flow better, why would you change over to a ls1 intake?

I think the only truck intake tested was off the 6.0. Could be mistaken but I'll go check the article. Cause I was very interested in that, being that my truck is gonna be getting more mods than my Formula.

I bleive the truck intake did do better the the ls1 intake. the truck intake makes more tq which is exactly what you need in the trucks. Also all the truck intakes 4.8,5.3,6.0 are the same.
