make sure you have the same oil pressure transducer (sender), when i did the 6.0 in mine i noticed they were different. one was a three wire and one was a 2 wire.. i just used the one that came off the 4.8...
the heads are fine.. they flow pretty well.. but you might as well put a converter in there while the engines out...

I would leave the head's alone. Throw a cam, spring's and push rod's in while the engine is out of the truck much much easier. I have a rcsb truck with a lq4 swap and im running a thunder racing 224 cam. It work's well for dd and sound's pretty good. And ya throw a converter in it while your there. And you might also be thinking about goin threw the tranny too and adding aftermarket part's. And for having a race truck and daily driver just put a 150 shot of nitrous on it .

And on my swap my 6.0 had oil cooler lines coming off it. So i just took my 5.3 block off plate and put it on the 6.0.

I do plan on doing the tranny while it is out because it has had nothing done to it other than service. Kinda thought about a Yank or TCI converter. What approach would be the best as far as building the tranny. Would like to build it bullet-proof right off the get-go. Tell me if I am wrong- 224 cam 3000 stall 3.90 rear CAI LT's would like to see no converters, bigger injectors, Tune ??, Thats just my thoughts. Who makes the best parts for the tranny??? Any ideas?
