Im confused. Why do you need to swap intake's and throttle body if they are the same??? When i did my swap i used the intaked and throttle body off the 6.0.

Another reason could be that his truck is 99-02 and therefore does not have the DBW that the 04 6.0 would have.

Your 02 is drive by cable and the 04 is drive by wire. The swap is very easy and strait forward. Everything hooks up and works fine, just get a retune for the 6.0.

As said above, DBW and DBC intakes are different, as one has the fresh air port for the PCV system on the intake, and the other has it on the throttle body. Moving this to the GM Engine and Exhaust Performance section since this swap is more "external" lol.

OK What about the heads. Would like to do a cam swap and all that goes with it before install. Are the stock heads worth using or what? This is all foreign to me. Never had the chance to do something like this. Where do you start as far as selecting a cam? Is the intake flow worthy?

Stock heads flow pretty good, I would just leave them.
What are your plans for the truck, daily driver, towing, all out racing?

Well I want something that is in between all out racing and D.D. I know that sound stupid but I want to be able to drive where I want or spank *** if needed. I am hoping for something that is a blast to the seat of your pants with OK driving habits. All of this is somewhat new to me so I need all the input I can get. I am having a real problem with cam selection and head set-up. I plan on beefing up the trans. with a good stall. The truck has 3.42's with a factory locker. Lots of plans but dont really know where to start.
