I don't know if you are going to get 400-450 out of a 5.3 NA
I would suggest get a 6.0 with a cam and some heads it will cost you probably $3k maybe a little more. I would say you are in the ballpark in terms of cost. Just need to find a used one

Just put a later model LQ9 in the truck and be done with it. We get it, you drive a lot and tow a lot. Don't need to say in every post

Pull up you local LKQ and find an Escalade/Denali 6.0 pull out and done stamp this thread lol

 

This is the Escalade my LQ9 came out of. With the body damage on the right front it's easy to deduct this is the reason the vehicle was in the boneyard. With a pristine body in a salvage yard you think engine or transmission issues. With the North Carolina Tar Heels decal on the back glass, I also deducted the owner was college educated and not some retard that abused MY MOTOR hahaha

The Arnold Palmer Cadillac dealer decal also tells me this is a local vehicle (Charlotte, NC) and not a northern rust bucket. This was a nice vehicle in it's prime.

 

I understand If I find a luck low miles lq9 I am more happy to buy asap. If you ever see anything just let me know buddy.
