Default 5.3 head replacement

I have the castech heads and am in the middle of replacing them. I made a rookie mistake and on re-installation i forgot the dowel pins. So no I'm going to have to pull it apart. The question I have is i have torqued the bolts and was wondering if I needed to replace them. The engine is still in pieces. I am lucky that I caught it early but still wanting to save as much money as possible. Thanks yall

If they are factory bolts then yes, if they are ARP then you can reuse them.

<< ha, ignorant me... never thought about using Fel-pro head bolts. Never knew they made them. I've always gone with the flow and bought ARP.

there's a good reason why people recommend ARP bolts and studs...

Arp is double the cost but issues like that or warped head keeps me from spending the money on head bolts again or worse 3-4+ times

Honestly, I had no idea. With the upgrades to the stock 5.3 heads, swap to the Patriot Performance heads on the 5.3 and the new 6.0/Ls6 heads are all ARP. So why would I know differently?
